First and foremost is education. Our goal is to provide you with the most current and comprehensive educational material and services available to protect you and your family against ticks and potentially contracting Lyme disease.
Authorized Applicator of Maxforce TMS system. Co-developed by Bayer Environmental Science and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Maxforce system can reduce backyard tick populations by up to 96 percent over two years. The system consists of a series of child-resistant bait boxes, installed around the perimeter of a residential property, that attract chipmunks and field mice that carry Lyme-infected ticks. As the rodents pass through the box, they are coated with a small dose of insecticide that eliminates the ticks but does not harm the rodent, thus breaking the cycle of Lyme disease. Not available in 2006.
Spray Program. As identified by the Maine Medical Center Research Institute, there are four peak periods in which various stages of deer ticks appear in southern Maine. Adults in mid April, nymphs in mid June, larvae in early August, and adults again in early to mid October. Our environmentally friendly spray program targets these specific stages of tick development, and is the most immediate and effective way to control ticks.
Deer Repellent. Do you routinely see deer on or around your property? As the primary host for adult ticks, discouraging deer from feeding on your plants and vegetation can aid in reducing the tick population, as well as eliminating damage to your plants.
Party Spray. Planning an outdoor graduation reception? How about a birthday party, family gathering or summer reunion? Our one-time spray will significantly reduce the number of ticks and mosquitoes invited to your function, making for a safer and more enjoyable gathering.
